- This is from last summer, but worth a read. What is it with this domestic goddess stuff? Have we looked at the actual goddesses (deities, not celeb chefs) to see if we really want that business? (Says the philosopher obsessed with Ancient Greece) (Also: I want to be the author in another life.)

- One reason I wish I could justify buying a fancy blender: smoother, more interesting salad dressings. I love the carrot/ginger thing, but can’t get past a pretty gritty version at home.
- Sushi Saturdays, anyone? Maybe not every week, but I’d love to be confident enough to do this.
- Homemade chocolates! I’m working on a version of these with fruity filling, rather than mint.
